Father O’Connell has just spoken to the large crowd here inside the Great Room of the Pryzbyla Center. Just went through what exactly is to be expected when the pope arrives.

“Now, the Holy Father isn’t expected to make any comments to the crowd outside, but that doesn’t mean I won’t ask him: Would you like to say anything?” - Father O’Connell

He should be here within an hour! I will be updating again during his arrival outside!

The mass has ended and now the big event, at least for Catholic University, is set to begin in a little over four hours.

All of the media that will be covering the speech at the University are here at the Westin waiting to again go through security and then board the buses, which will bring us to CUA.

Remember students, the Law School lawn is open all day long. A number of activities will be happening until the big arrival later this afternoon, including a showing of “Sister Act”, performances from our a cappella groups and more.

We’ll update again shortly!
